Two of our favorite people for years and years, Greg Bennick (Trial) and Chris Rouse (Seven Generations) both have new bands. Greg sings for Bystander and Chris is fronting Forewarned. Both bands are amazing and are literally changing our scene for the better.
In this series called “Conversations”, they ask each other about their lyrics, ideals, writings, etc. Simply put, it’s absolutely amazing. I heard about the idea last week and knew it would be great, but it’s beyond what I was ready for.
On a daily basis we are bombarded with things to click on and listen to. The following is worth every second of your time.
Bystanders new record is available through Safe Inside Records and can be purchase here. Listen to their bandcamp here.
Forewarned has a new demo that you can listen to right here.
We are supper excited to announce that Maniac has joined the family. New Age brings their debut LP “War and Insanity” to the world dropping this summer. The guys just finished a string of shows on the east coast.

Treason recently returned from their first west coast shows. Here’s a quick little Q and A to bring us all up to speed.
What’s been going on? How was the trip to CA for NA30?
Rich: We’ve been busy writing and recording 4 new songs for our upcoming EP. Playing a few regional shows. California was great. It was nice seeing all the bands from the label hanging and meeting each other for the first time.
You just got new drummer, what’s up with that dude?
Rich: Yeah our original drummer started going back to school and he was in another band before Treason. Just made sense to get someone else. Dylan has fit in nicely. We haven’t missed a beat.
Hows the writing/recording going for the new EP?
Rich: Well like I stated early we have been writing and recording since California. We have almost all of it recorded. Should all be done in the next couple weeks. Pretty excited about it.
What’s the plan for 2019? Tours? Europe/US?
Rich: We have some shows set up December through March. Mostly weekends and one offs. We just cant go on a proper “tour” given our jobs and advanced age haha.
Are their any influences you have in your writing process that people might not expect?
Rich: I listen to a lot of different kinds of music all the time and I think that comes through in the music. Our newer songs have more of a thrashy tone to them. Apparently I have been listening to a lot of Obituary and Deicide haha.
Vinyl for the Dividing Line’s Turn My Back on the World arrived early from the plant so we have started to ship orders earlier than thought. The brand new EP is available on Coke bottle clear and white vinyl. Don’t forget the ever elusive ’77 pressing, those usually go pretty fast.
When we got the master for the new Safe and Sound, it was hard to believe how excited we were. Track after track of one of our favorite bands of all time putting their first full length together and we are honored to be a part of it. As usual, everything this band does speaks for itself.
“Only in Death” drops across all digital formats in November (because we just can’t wait till we get the vinyl). For now enjoy the title track below.
Drug Control’s “Clear Sight” is available now across all digital formats and we are now accepting pre orders for the vinyl versions. White, Red with black streaks and ’77 versions all available soon. Click here to order.
